Valve solenoids
The Tiefenbach Control Systems valve solenoids provide the interface between the electrical and the hydraulic controls.
A magnetic field energized electrically moves a metal armature. A large number of devices can be activated this way. Valve solenoids are increasingly used in connection with an electrohydraulic shield control system. With their armature they activate different valve capsules and permit to switch hydraulic functions electrically.

The valve solenoid iE(A)05 has been especially designed for use in systems with a maximum pressure of 250 bar. A further characteristic feature of the iE(A)05 is the variable cable entry gland. Depending on the individual customer requirement the cable entry gland with stress relief clamp can be optionally fitted at one of the side panels or at the front.

Recommended fields of application are e.g. the use as pilot valve for pump circulation valves. Depending on the respective customer requirements different types of connections are possible.

The valve solenoid iE(A)09 of Tiefenbach Control Systems is a speciality. It is not based on hydraulics like the rest of our procuct portfolio, but on pneumatics. Combined with the respective valve it can be used as electro-pneumatic pilot valve which is primarily applied to control compressed air flows. The current switching status of the valve solenoid is indicated via a built-in LED.

The valve solenoid iE(A)14 is a more compact version of our time-proven solenoid type iE(A)27. In contrast to the latter the housing of the iE(A)14 only accommodates one magnetic coil. This considerably reduces its dimensions and thus permits its application in spaces with limited access without, however, sacrificing intrinsic safety and failproofness.

The valve solenoid iE(A)22 stands out due to its special switching behaviour and its strong force. Unilke the discretely switching valve solenoids the iE(A)22 is designed with a proportional switching behaviour and thus lends itself naturally for the activation of proportional valves. Furthermore, it has a current consumption of up to 500mA resulting in a high magnetic force.
The valve solenoid has been designed as wet-type magnet so that the magnetic coil is constantly immersed in the operating medium. The iE(A)22 is therefore only suitable for use in oil hydraulic applications.
The connection to the power supply can optionally be made via plug connectors or a junction box.

The valve solenoid iE(A)27 is primarily used as pilot valve in our electrohydraulic shield control units. Thanks to its properties it is excellently suited for this task. Its compact dimensions and the use of two magnets in a common housing facilitate the simultaneous use of several valve solenoids at one control block. The integral power reduction relieves the shield control unit and permits to actuate several functions at the same time.

The valve solenoids iE(A)33 and iE(A)34 have been especially adapted to the requirements in oil hydraulic applications. In order to ensure the highest possible system compatibility the solenoids are offered in three versions. Same as our valve solenoid iE(A)27 they come with an integrated power reduction feature. The actual switching status of the solenoid is indicated via a built-in LED.
For enhanced flexibility the valve solenoid iE(A)33 is connected to the control unit via a Hirschmann socket. The customers can adjust type and length of the cable to suit their individual requirements.
In order to simplify installation and make it easier for the customer the valve solenoids iE(A)34 are manufactured with a firmly attached connection cable. The cable lengths are exactly made to match the customer’s requirements.
Upon request, a variant with junction box can be supplied
