Filters

Although longwall equipment is subject to harsh operating conditions it is expected to live long.

Control and valve components will be the more durable and efficient the fewer contaminations are present in the hydraulic system.

An important aspect in this connection is filtration. Our filter systems are adapted to suit the individual application and are thus able to protect expensive equipment despite hostile environments by keeping the hydraulic systems clean.

The corrosion-resistant in-line filters provide for a constant fluid purity in individual system sections where a heavy amount of dirt ingress has to be expected.

They thoroughly remove dirt particles, carry them off and clean the filter elements by backflushing. The corrosion-resistant backflush filters operate manually or fully automatically by electrical control.

Return line filters provide an additional filtration stage for the hydraulic fluid. They are typically integrated in the return line between the end of the longwall face and the tank unit. They comprise two individual filter elements and a manual valve. This arrangement allows to utilize the individual filter elements separately. It offers the advantage of not having to interrupt the hydraulic circuit when replacing a contaminated element. If, e.g. the first element needs replacing the return flow can be routed through the second element without any losses.
